This wire is galvanised by the hot dip process which gives a far superior zinc coating compared with the more common (and cheaper) electrolytic process.

Hot dip galvanising provides a zinc layer which is heavier and has far greater integrity than can be achieved by electrolysis. Accordingly hot dipped galvanised wire has a much longer service life.
